This workshop will guide people through Agile techniques from requirements through to development practices that help deliver software that is closer to what is really needed. Taking experiences and lessons learnt from five years of running and mentoring Agile development teams John Sullivan will use real life examples to prove that software can be built on-time, deliver real value and have low if not zero defect rates.

Speaker Bio

John Sullivan has over nineteen years experience as an Architect/Project Manager/Team Lead/Software Engineer in the creation of enterprise-class, scalable multi-tier applications and architecture using a variety of different technologies. He has experience in both .Net and J2EE development for web applications and server-side applications, as well as having performed enterprise application integration work using cutting edge technologies and tools. With an in depth knowledge and experience in .Net, Java and Agile methods, John has successfully led many teams in the delivery of software for large organisations in Australia and Europe. John is currently the Professional Services manager for ThoughtWorks Australia, a worldwide consultancy that delivers enterprise-class software using Agile methods.
